Part‑time Medical Doctor – Clinical Research (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Medical Doctor to join our interdisciplinary research team in Ostrava. The hybrid position combines on‑site work in the laboratory with flexible remote days, allowing you to contribute medical expertise to translational projects in clinical biochemistry and pathobiochemistry.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with laboratory scientists and clinicians to design studies, define patient cohorts and select clinical endpoints.
• Review, interpret and integrate clinical and laboratory data with molecular findings to support diagnostic, prognostic and therapy‑monitoring objectives.
• Participate in academic activities such as seminars, educational events, and present results at scientific meetings.
• Contribute to scientific publications and assist in the development of clinical protocols while ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completed or ongoing specialization in laboratory medicine, internal medicine, pathology or a related field.
• Strong interest or experience in clinical biochemistry, pathobiochemistry or translational laboratory research.
• Proficiency in scientific communication in English, including writing and presenting research.
• Ability to work independently and as part of interdisciplinary teams, with solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with research methodology, study design, basic statistics and ethical principles in clinical research.
