Head Internal Control Compliance

About the role

Sandoz, a global leader in biosimilar and generic medicines, is seeking a Head of Internal Control Compliance to lead its Internal Control Compliance (ICC) and Management Control System (MCS) across the organization. The role combines strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and team leadership to ensure robust control environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define annual ICC/MCS priorities, approve plans and monitor execution progress.
• Collaborate with senior finance colleagues and external partners to promote MCS guidelines and ensure alignment with Sandoz values.
• Guide control owners, oversee remediation plans and provide subject‑matter expertise on internal control topics, including M&A projects.
• Manage a global on‑ and offshore team, fostering high performance, talent development and succession planning.
• Drive productivity and efficiency initiatives, oversee onboarding, training and continuous improvement of the control function.

Required profile

• Demonstrated inclusive, proactive leadership style aligned with corporate values.
• Experience in leading large, geographically dispersed finance or compliance teams.
• Strong capability in building talent pipelines, coaching and succession planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Track record of delivering high‑quality compliance outcomes and meeting budgetary targets.
