Construction Manager

About the role

Bilfinger, a leading international industrial services provider, is looking for a Construction Manager to lead and coordinate construction activities across its Central Eastern Europe projects. The role involves overseeing technical supervision, safety coordination, and ensuring compliance with project documentation and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the construction team, including technical supervisors, safety coordinators, and assistants.
• Ensure all team members receive proper safety training and that contractors nominate qualified safety personnel.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, issue written notices, and suspend work when safety, environmental, or asset protection standards are not met.
• Oversee site setup, obtain necessary permits, and maintain documentation such as certificates, conformity declarations, as‑built drawings, and surveys.
• Monitor construction progress against project documentation, public authority requirements, and schedule.
• Evaluate subcontractors, control sub‑supply deliveries, and ensure timely completion according to the project schedule.

Required profile

• Technical university or secondary education in construction or mechanical engineering.
• 4–5 years of experience in a similar construction management role (junior candidates may also be considered).
• Responsibility, independence, strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (advantageous).
• English language at B2 level.
• ČKAIT authorization (advantageous, not mandatory).
• Category B driver’s licence.
