Executive Pastry Chef – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to lead the pastry department of Augustine Hotel Prague, a 5‑star luxury property housed in a 13th‑century monastery. The role combines creative vision with operational excellence to shape the sweet culinary identity of one of Central Europe’s most iconic hotels.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the pastry kitchen, designing and executing high‑end pastry concepts, signature desserts, afternoon tea, seasonal amenities and banquet menus.
• Maintain 5‑star quality standards for taste, texture and visual presentation in every creation.
• Recruit, train, mentor and inspire a talented pastry team, fostering a culture of precision and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on food‑cost control, inventory management and supplier relations, sourcing premium seasonal and local ingredients.
• Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, food safety and kitchen organization standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel (ideally 5‑star) or high‑end fine‑dining establishment.
• Deep knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques with a strong aesthetic sense.
• Proven leadership ability, excellent communication skills and capacity to manage a diverse team under pressure.
• Solid business acumen, understanding of kitchen financials, menu engineering, portion control and waste management.
