Public Policy Specialist – Central & Eastern Europe

About the role

As a Public Policy Specialist for Central and Eastern Europe, you will support Bolt’s government‑affairs initiatives across the Czech Republic, Slovakia and, to a lesser extent, Poland. Working closely with the Public Policy Manager and the wider CEE team, you will help shape and execute strategies for Bolt’s rides, deliveries and drive services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government representatives, policymakers, NGOs, civil‑society groups, passenger and commuter organisations, safety organisations and other relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor, research and analyse legislation, regulations and public policies, assessing their impact on Bolt’s operations and proposing recommendations or amendments.
• Prepare policy analyses, talking points, briefing materials, letters, reports and other written documents for internal teams and external engagements.
• Support public‑policy priorities across Bolt’s rides, deliveries and drive businesses by providing research and insights that inform the broader policy strategy.
• Conduct stakeholder or platform‑user surveys, analyse findings and translate data into clear insights that back policy positions and identify growth opportunities.
• Assist the CEE Public Policy team with internal communications, ongoing policy matters and selected EU‑affairs projects, focusing on the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Required profile

• Experience or a strong interest in public policy, government affairs or a related field, preferably with exposure to Central and Eastern European markets.
• Excellent analytical abilities and a proven track record of producing clear, concise written materials.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse groups.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Czech, Slovak or Polish is a plus.
