Senior Data & AI Engineer – View of Risk Advisory

About the role

Join Aon's View of Risk Advisory team to design and deliver next‑generation data, analytics and AI tools for risk professionals worldwide. This full‑time hybrid position combines virtual work with time in our modern Prague office.

Key responsibilities

• Build scalable data and AI solutions that integrate catastrophe model outputs, scientific research and technical documentation.
• Develop robust data pipelines, analytical data products and retrieval systems using cloud analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Scientists, Analysts and Catastrophe Modellers to support global decision‑making.
• Integrate Large Language Model (LLM) and AI capabilities into real‑world analytical workflows.

Required profile

• Strong background in data engineering and analytics, preferably with exposure to insurance, reinsurance or quantitative domains.
• Proven ability to work with complex, structured and unstructured data sources.
• Curiosity and capacity to learn domain‑specific knowledge quickly.

Required skills

• Databricks, Apache Spark and Delta Lake.
• Advanced SQL for analytical querying, optimisation and data modelling.
• Python development (testing, version control, engineering best practices).
• Design and operation of ETL/ELT pipelines from APIs, databases and third‑party sources.
• Document ingestion, indexing, search/retrieval systems or knowledge‑management tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML/LLM‑enabled workflows.
