Warranty Engineer – Field Failure Analysis

About the role

Valeo is seeking a technically‑oriented Warranty Engineer to join its international R&D centre in Prague. You will act as the bridge between product development and real‑world use, performing the “detective work” needed to analyse field‑returned electronic hardware and ensure the highest quality for a major global automotive OEM.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate electronic components and systems returned from the field to identify root causes of failures, using methodologies such as QRQC.
• Participate in technical initiatives, propose corrective actions and support continuous product improvement.
• Prepare clear technical reports, specifications and presentations for internal stakeholders and the customer.
• Support the critical ramp‑up phase as new high‑tech products move into mass production.
• Collaborate with multinational teams across R&D, Quality and Manufacturing.

Required profile

• University degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proactive analytical mindset with systematic problem‑solving abilities.
• Communicative level of English for daily interaction in a multinational environment.
• Previous experience in a technical role (Quality, Testing, R&D) is a plus, but recent graduates with a passion for automotive technology are also welcome.
• High sense of responsibility, precision and ability to handle confidential project information.
