Accountant – General Ledger

About the role

This position is responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, including month‑end journal entries, closings, tax reporting, and payroll reporting. The role reports to the Supervisor Accounting/Manager Accounting and operates in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries in the general ledger system, covering splits, re‑classes, accruals, reserve adjustments, and various invoices.
• Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations for payables, receivables, accrued and prepaid accounts, intercompany cash, deposits, and fees.
• Provide balance‑sheet, income‑statement, and statistical reports, and support income‑tax statement preparation.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, and revenues to deliver actionable information for management.
• Execute miscellaneous general accounting tasks, develop standard processes, and cooperate with internal and external auditors.

Required profile

• Secondary or university education, preferably in Economics.
• Working experience in an accounting role.
• Advanced English proficiency; Italian is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
• Knowledge of SAP and Oracle systems (advantageous).
• Advanced PC literacy (MS Office).
