Accountant – International Finance Team (Czech & EU)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of accounting activities across multiple Czech and international entities within our growing renewable energy group. You will work closely with international stakeholders, support process improvements, and contribute to the financial health of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting for selected Czech and international entities, including AP, AR, bank transactions, fixed assets, payroll, VAT and general ledger entries.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, intercompany transaction handling and intercompany loan accounting.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices with tax documentation for EU cross‑border transactions.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and related reporting.
• Own monthly and annual closing activities: accruals, provisions, revaluations, depreciation and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms, auditors and tax advisors across different countries.
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports such as VAT, Intrastat and other required filings.
• Support ERP enhancements, process improvements and finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in an independent or senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Czech Accounting Standards and financial reporting principles.
• Fluent in Czech and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, data analysis)
• ERP experience – preferably NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central
• VAT accounting and reporting
• Intercompany accounting and balance‑sheet reconciliations
• EU invoicing, import/export transactions and Intrastat reporting
