Accountant

About the role

Join IKEA Purchasing Services as an Accountant, supporting the finance function of a multinational purchasing organization. You will work in a collaborative environment that values humility, openness, and personal responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and reporting in line with Czech regulations.
• Assist with financial audits and controls performed by state institutions.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and support income tax calculations.
• Produce accurate monthly accounts, post liabilities and receivables, and create accruals.
• Post bank statements, prepare payment proposals, and match invoices with purchase orders.
• Collaborate closely with Administration and People & Culture teams.
• Handle travel expense calculations, CITI card administration, and asset management including depreciation and inventory.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of accounting experience.
• Fluent in Czech and communicative English for daily cooperation.
• Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, self‑motivation and willingness to improve processes.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
