Accountant – Multi-Entity Finance Role in Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team within a growing renewable energy group. The role covers end‑to‑end accounting for Czech and international entities, offering exposure to multi‑entity finance and close collaboration with stakeholders across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for selected Czech and international entities, including AP, AR, bank transactions, fixed assets, payroll, VAT, and GL entries.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, intercompany transaction processing, and intercompany loan management.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices with tax documentation and handle EU cross‑border invoicing.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and related reporting.
• Take ownership of monthly and annual closing activities, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, revaluations, and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms, auditors, and tax advisors in multiple countries.
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports such as VAT, Intrastat, and other required filings.
• Support ERP enhancements, process improvements, and finance‑related projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in an independent or senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Czech Accounting Standards and financial reporting principles.
• Fluent in Czech and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proactive problem‑solving.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central.
• Hands‑on experience with monthly and annual closing processes.
• Knowledge of VAT, intercompany accounting, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
