Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

Augustine Hotel Prague, a Kempinski property, is preparing for a new chapter with a prestigious international luxury hotel brand and is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join its Finance team. The role ensures the accuracy, efficiency and smooth operation of accounts payable processes in a luxury hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded, approved and recorded in the accounting system
• Prepare and process weekly supplier payments accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate vendor records and keep the supplier database up to date
• Perform monthly accounts payable reconciliations and support month-end closing
• Monitor outstanding invoices, accruals and early payment discounts
• Maintain an organized filing system for paid and outstanding invoices
• Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures, company policies and local regulations
• Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and payment queries
• Support the Finance team with additional accounting and administrative tasks

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting or a similar finance role, ideally in hospitality
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and invoice processing
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Confidence with numbers, financial records and deadlines
• Responsible, reliable and solution-oriented approach
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting systems
