Advanced Electronic Design Engineer – Urban Air Mobility

About the role

Honeywell Aerospace is building a centre of excellence for flight‑control actuation systems in Brno. We are looking for an Advanced Electronic Design Engineer to develop safety‑critical control units for electro‑mechanical flight‑control actuation systems used in electric aircraft. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that shape the future of urban air mobility and gain exposure to the full product development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development cycle of electronic control units, from concept to qualification.
• Support project planning, create hardware development plans and define PBA‑level hardware requirements.
• Design analog, digital and power‑electronics circuits for flight‑critical (DAL A) applications, produce schematics and oversee PCB layout.
• Perform formal and informal verification, including simulations, laboratory testing and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain test procedures, result reports, and design documentation.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical and test engineers, and share knowledge with peers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
• Strong practical experience in electronic circuit development (analog, digital, power).
• Fluent English and EU citizenship (export‑control requirement).
• Experience with Mentor Graphics or similar EDA tools and prior work in the aerospace industry.
• Self‑motivation, ability to work with minimal supervision and make timely decisions in complex situations.
