Area Operations Manager - Dialysis Clinics

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care is looking for an Area Operations Manager for its dialysis clinics in Czechia. You will oversee the operational performance and development of approximately 11 clinics and act as a strategic partner to Head Physicians and clinic leadership teams, helping them improve efficiency and deliver high-quality patient care. The role combines operational management, business oversight and stakeholder collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate local action plans aligned with the broader organizational mission and motivate the team of head physicians to achieve business goals.
• Contribute to and implement strategic planning systems, and drive operational improvements and excellence measures.
• Develop and manage budgets, audit outputs and analyse data for informed decisions.
• Set performance objectives, monitor progress and take corrective actions.
• Oversee clinic operations, ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards and company policies, and lead quality assurance and risk evaluation.
• Identify development needs, build team capabilities and coach staff.
• Work with clinics, commercial operations, care delivery functions and G&A departments (Medical, Legal, Compliance, HR), as well as external service providers, suppliers, local authorities and government representatives.

Required profile

• Master's degree in General Management, Finance, Clinic Management, Medicine or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams and managing operations, ideally in healthcare services, healthcare providers or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical technology industry is a must.
• Proven resilience, stakeholder management and ability to handle complex or sensitive situations.
• Proficiency in English and Czech, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Operational, analytical and planning skills, with strong project management and financial acumen.
• Proficiency in IT tools (MS Office, CRM, SAP).
