Background Verification Consultant – Global Recruiting Operations

About the role

Global Recruiting Operations EMEA is looking for a Background Verification Consultant to own and continuously improve the pre‑employment screening process across the EMEA region. You will work closely with candidates, hiring managers, HR, Legal and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate and compliant background checks.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and manage pre‑employment background verification checks in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review, assess and validate verification results, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by partnering with candidates, hiring managers, HR, Legal and external service providers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements and support implementation of process enhancements.
• Participate in local and global projects related to recruiting operations, compliance, process optimisation and technology implementation.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools and digital platforms to boost productivity, data analysis and stakeholder support.

Required profile

• Experience, knowledge or strong interest in background verification, recruiting operations, HR, compliance or risk management.
• Background in a customer‑focused, service delivery or shared‑services environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy and quality.
• Exposure to process improvement, automation or digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
