Business Development Manager

About the role

Whalebone is a fast‑growing cybersecurity company protecting everyday internet users. As a Business Development Manager you will lead the expansion of our solutions in the Czech and Slovak markets, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, including lead generation, discovery calls, product demos and contract negotiations.
• Serve as the primary contact for channel partners, supporting joint sales initiatives and providing necessary tools.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts and customer interactions in HubSpot.
• Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to adapt outreach strategies and value propositions for the local market.

Required profile

• 5+ years of proven experience in a sales‑driven role.
• Background in the IT sector, preferably cybersecurity or SaaS.
• Ability to explain complex technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Fluency in Czech or Slovak and professional command of English.
