Business Operations Analyst – Prague

About the role

Cemex is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support financial and operational decision‑making in its Prague office. The role combines financial statement analysis, KPI monitoring and project work to drive efficiency and cost optimisation across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, validation and analysis of financial statements, managing accruals and costing processes.
• Provide reports, presentations, league tables, forecasts, business plans and budgeting support.
• Analyze operational KPIs to identify cost‑saving, inventory control and efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Lead or contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing financial and operational outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, PACS and internal control policies; coordinate with external auditors and contractors.
• Manage data collection systems to guarantee timely, accurate, and consistent operational reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance or analysis.
• Proficient in English and Spanish.
• Valid EU passport and legal authorization to work in Prague (no visa sponsorship).

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial accounting standards (SOX, IFRS, GAAP) – advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and CRM platforms.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, especially Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
