C++ Software Engineer – Automation & DevOps (m/f/d)

About the role

Join Bruker’s R&D team in Brno to develop modern automation software that powers mass‑spectrometry and infectious‑disease diagnostics. You will work on real hardware, building reliable C++ applications while collaborating with DevOps and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain C++ software for automation and distributed systems.
• Develop client‑server components using gRPC, Protocol Buffers and REST APIs.
• Participate in DevOps tasks: set up CI/CD pipelines, monitor services, and address security vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, ISO/IEC, EU and US regulations for medical devices.
• Document code and processes according to corporate standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Informatics, Electronics, Mathematics or Physics.
• Professional English communication skills; Czech is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team.
• Patience and pro‑activity when dealing with corporate IT processes.

Required skills

• Modern C++ (C++17/C++20).
• Client‑server architecture experience.
• gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
• API design (REST and gRPC).
• Asynchronous programming and multithreading.
• Familiarity with scripting (Bash/PowerShell, Python) and build tools (Maven, Ansible) – nice to have.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines – nice to have.
