Category Manager – Self‑Care & Cleaning

About the role

Vilgain is seeking a Category Manager to develop and expand its self‑care and home‑care assortment, aligning with the brand’s clean, high‑quality ethos. The role blends product ownership, supplier sourcing, launch execution, and commercial oversight across natural cleaning and personal care segments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and grow the product assortment in self‑care and home‑cleaning categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers offering natural, eco‑certified, and clean products.
• Lead product launches from concept through market execution.
• Monitor and optimise margin, pricing, and inventory levels for the category.
• Collaborate closely with QA, regulatory, and marketing teams to ensure timely, compliant product delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Category Manager, or similar role within cleaning, self‑care, personal care, or FMCG.
• Familiarity with suppliers in the natural, eco, or clean segment.
• Strong understanding of margin, pricing, and sell‑through dynamics.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and drive initiatives forward.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to manage two related sub‑segments simultaneously.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cosmetics regulation, especially EU 1223/2009 (nice to have).
