Communications Manager – Surgery (EMEA)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Communications Manager for the Surgery Business Unit across EMEA. The role will help execute an integrated communications strategy that supports growth priorities, innovation milestones and reputation building across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the EMEA communications strategy for the Surgery BU, aligning with growth priorities and key milestones.
• Partner with business leaders to translate priorities into clear, compelling campaigns across media, executive, internal and digital channels.
• Own channel management for homepages, distribution lists, newsletters and other communication assets.
• Collaborate with legal, regulatory, government affairs and global media relations to secure approvals and alignment.
• Work with local agencies and freelancers to maximise campaign impact.
• Use data and insights to continuously improve effectiveness and leverage global reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in communications, corporate affairs or public affairs, preferably in healthcare, med‑tech or other regulated industries.
• Deep knowledge of the EMEA region and its market nuances.
• Strong writing, storytelling and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• External and internal communications expertise.
• Project communications and stakeholder‑management experience.
• Familiarity with IT tools and willingness to learn new distribution systems.
