Construction Manager

About the role

Bilfinger is seeking a Construction Manager to lead and coordinate construction activities across its projects in the Czech Republic. The role involves overseeing technical supervisors, safety coordinators and assistants, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards while delivering projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the construction team, including technical supervisors, safety technicians and assistants.
• Train all team members on occupational safety and ensure suppliers nominate qualified safety personnel.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, issue written penalties and suspend work when safety, environmental or asset protection rules are breached.
• Set up construction site facilities with all required permits and documentation.
• Issue work instructions, receive completed works and handle related documentation such as certificates, conformity declarations and as‑built records.
• Ensure construction follows project documentation, public authority requirements and the approved schedule.
• Control and evaluate subcontractors and monitor the construction timeline.

Required profile

• Technical university or secondary education (construction or mechanical engineering).
• 4–5 years of experience in a similar construction management role (junior candidates also considered).
• Knowledge of permitting processes and ability to work with public authorities.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
• Driver’s licence category B.
• Strong sense of responsibility, independence and teamwork.
