Cook / Demi Chef

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook / Demi Chef to join our kitchen team at Marriott International in Prague. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring according to recipes.
• Cook hot and cold dishes, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test food for proper doneness.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards and complete the food preparation checklist.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, including washing tools, knives and equipment.
• Monitor appliance and food temperatures, follow safety and security policies, and report any hazards.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations and serve food in correct portions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 lb throughout the shift.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety training and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Food preparation and portioning.
