Cybersecurity Validator for Rolling Stock

About the role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Validator who will combine IT expertise with hands‑on work on railway rolling stock. The position involves up to 60 % field or laboratory work on trains in the Czech Republic and regular trips to Germany and Austria to test and define security according to IEC 62443 standards. You will gain practical experience protecting critical railway systems while collaborating with an international team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing and ethical hacking to validate security measures on modern trains.
• Collaborate on compliance with global security standards (IEC 62443) for rolling‑stock systems.
• Support the creation and implementation of IT/OT security concepts for specific vehicles and subsystems.
• Conduct threat and risk analyses and propose counter‑measures together with functional managers.
• Prepare security architectures and engage in technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Specify and maintain security requirements according to international regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in ICT, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Analytical thinking and passion for testing complex software systems.
• Basic knowledge of network technologies (DHCP, RADIUS, DNS, SSL/TLS) and Linux.
• Strong interest in IT/OT security and willingness to continue learning.
• Communicative level of English.
• Professional competence in electrical engineering (NV 194/2022 Sb.).
• Driving licence category B.
