Data Analyst – Financial Crime Team

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join PwC’s Financial Crime team in Prague. You will help clients detect and prevent money‑laundering and other financial fraud by analysing customer and transaction data and improving monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, validate, implement and optimise clients’ financial‑crime detection systems.
• Analyse customer and transaction data, transform it and assess data quality.
• Suggest improvements to monitoring processes and communicate findings to clients.
• Develop digital assets: build data pipelines, automated controls and visualisations using SQL and Python.
• Prepare engagement proposals and stay up‑to‑date with data‑analysis developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in a business environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and travel when required.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL querying.
• Basic to intermediate statistics.
• Data pipeline creation and data visualisation.
