Data Scientist – Ad Intelligence

About the role

As a Data Scientist on the Ad Intelligence team, you will design and own models that estimate advertiser spend and audience reach across the web. The role blends deep business understanding with the technical ability to deliver solutions ranging from quick heuristics to full‑scale machine‑learning pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of the business logic behind metrics and translate it into model assumptions, features, and validation rules.
• Design, develop, and productionize models that estimate ad‑intelligence metrics, choosing between heuristics and complex ML pipelines as appropriate.
• Own the full research cycle—from data exploration and proof‑of‑concept to model selection, evaluation, and, when needed, production implementation with engineers.
• Collaborate with data analysts to identify and resolve data‑quality issues and document model assumptions and limitations for stakeholders.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tooling such as Claude and Cursor to accelerate development.

Required profile

• MSc in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2‑4 years of experience building and deploying machine‑learning models or statistical algorithms in production.
• Strong analytical thinking, strategic decision‑making, ownership mindset, learning agility, and collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Modern machine‑learning algorithms.
• PySpark and Spark ecosystem.
• Databricks or similar cloud‑based big‑data platforms.
• AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, or comparable tools).
