Data Scientist

About the role

Join PwC's Financial Crime Advisory team in Prague as a Data Scientist. You will help clients detect and prevent money laundering and other financial fraud by analysing customer and transaction data and building advanced analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• 80% of time on client engagements: analyse customer and transaction data, provide methodological guidance, and translate data insights into business value.
• 10% of time developing digital assets: design machine‑learning pipelines, create visualisations, and write production‑grade Python code with tests.
• 5% preparing new engagement proposals.
• 5% staying up‑to‑date with the latest machine‑learning research and techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of classification and clustering algorithms and optimisation methods such as differential evolution.
• Proficiency in Python, Git and SQL.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proactive, collaborative, and willing to travel when required.
