DevOps Engineer – Cloud Migration

About the role

Avenga is accelerating its cloud transformation by migrating core business applications to Microsoft Azure. As a DevOps Engineer you will rehost existing workloads with high reliability, minimise disruption and lay the groundwork for future cloud optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and optimise infrastructure for scalability, reliability and performance.
• Automate IT processes and streamline operations.
• Contribute to containerisation strategy using Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipelines and maintain seamless delivery workflows.
• Automate deployment and testing to ensure rapid, repeatable releases.
• Manage the full lifecycle of application deployments, including upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for production systems.
• Administer Linux servers, ensuring stability, security and optimal configuration.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
• Proactive, independent and detail‑oriented work style.
• Fluent in Czech or Slovak and good command of English for technical documentation.

Required skills

• Linux, Docker, Git, networking fundamentals.
• Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Azure DevOps, GitLab.
• CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Argo CD.
• Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP (advantageous).
• SQL, Redis, Java.NET (exposure).
• Bash, Python, Perl scripting.
