DevOps Engineer – Cloud Networking & Security

About the role

Cato Networks is building a global, cloud‑delivered networking and security platform. We are looking for a visionary DevOps Engineer to join the R&D team and support the entire R&D operation by providing automated tools and CI/CD processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own continuous delivery and deployment pipelines for all software projects, building them from the ground up and continuously extending them.
• Collaborate with R&D and other departments to create self‑service tools and automate repetitive tasks.
• Lead technical projects from discovery and design through implementation and rollout.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and improve developer workflows.
• Define roadmaps, break down large initiatives into actionable plans, and contribute to internal engineering portals.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi‑task environment with frequent context switches.
• Strong problem‑solving and systems‑thinking abilities.
• Independent gap identification, solution proposal, and execution drive.
• Comfortable collaborating directly with engineers, technical leads, and managers.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipelines and build tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory).
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes – bonus).
• Programming/scripting languages (Go, Groovy, Python, Bash).
• Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Cloud IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• GitOps workflows and tools (ArgoCD).
