Distribution Coordinator

About the role

The Distribution Coordinator ensures the smooth flow of goods from warehouses to customers, points of sale, or other destinations. This role is essential for maintaining timely deliveries, optimizing routes, and supporting overall supply‑chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise distribution routes for cost‑effective, on‑time deliveries.
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to align stock levels with shipment schedules.
• Select appropriate carriers and logistics partners.
• Monitor shipments in real‑time and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage shipping and customs documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, locations, and destinations.
• Inspect product condition during transit and address any damage.
• Communicate clearly with customers and resolve distribution issues promptly.
• Analyse performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in distribution, logistics, or a related field.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of distribution regulations, safety guidelines, and international shipping requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
