Engineering Development Manager

About the role

You will join the Business Automation organization, which builds our back‑office automation software. Come join the team and help pioneer Enverus’s mission to provide a complete solution that streamlines and accelerates vendor collaboration and payment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage one or more teams of full‑time employees and contractors to build and support SaaS applications.
• Ensure engineering teams have the skills, tools, and processes needed to deliver high‑quality, on‑time software.
• Recruit, on‑board, mentor, and grow software engineers.
• Contribute to design, architecture, process, and development discussions.
• Provide technical leadership and independent, critical, analytical thinking.
• Participate in strategic planning to suggest process improvements and address scaling challenges.
• Guide teams and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements.
• Advocate for the right outcomes with data, conviction, and diplomacy.
• Foster engineering excellence and a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience directly managing software teams delivering SaaS products.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related engineering degree.
• Effective communication, leadership, and people‑management skills.
• Ownership of work and responsibility at every step.
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud‑based infrastructure and platform services.
• Agile, proactive, comfortable with ambiguous specifications and rapid prioritization.
• Experience building available, scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
• Strong ability to break down large, complex problems into simpler components.
• Solid leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
• Strong customer‑service skills and ability to communicate with non‑technical personnel.
• In‑depth knowledge of software development strategies, tools, and release coordination.
• Advanced experience with at least one of the listed programming languages.
• Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Proven record of hiring and managing diverse, high‑performing engineering teams.
