Food, Biofuels & Sustainability Product Manager

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Product Manager to lead certification activities across food standards, biofuels and sustainable forest management. The role involves developing schemes, ensuring compliance, and engaging with clients and stakeholders in Prague.

Key responsibilities

• Complex management and optimisation of certification activities for Food standards, Biofuels and Sustainable Forest Management (FSC).
• Maintain competence of audit specialists and manage certification and post‑certification processes.
• Design, develop and enhance certification schemes and audit protocols for food safety, quality assurance, sustainability and biofuels compliance.
• Monitor evolving regulatory frameworks, identify gaps and opportunities for new certification offerings.
• Ensure alignment of audit protocols with international standards and collaborate with standards bodies.
• Work with accreditation bodies (e.g., UKAS) to maintain and expand scheme accreditation and ensure audit quality.
• Build relationships with clients, auditors and industry associations through seminars and conferences.
• Develop training materials and competence frameworks for auditors and business developers.
• Execute technical reviews and certification approvals, collaborating with audit, sales and planning departments.

Required profile

• Secondary school or university education in Food, Business or Quality Management.
• Relevant experience and knowledge of legislative requirements in Food, Biofuels and Sustainable Forest Management, preferably in testing, inspection or certification.
• Fluent Czech and English.
• Strong understanding of quality management principles.
