GL Accountant

About the role

Corpay is looking for a GL Accountant within its Fleetcore division in Prague. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting through month‑end close, ledger reconciliations and compliance with local and US GAAP/IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end closing activities and post accounting journals for assigned entities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance‑sheet accounts and intercompany balances.
• Process corporate cost recharges and intercompany transactions.
• Support internal and external audit processes and respond to queries.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and risk‑management activities.

Required profile

• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a large, complex organization.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, US GAAP/IFRS and EU VAT.
• Advanced English and Czech language skills.
• Attention to detail, high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
