Global Credit Risk Director

About the role

Join the LEGO Group as the Global Credit Risk Director and lead a multicultural team that safeguards the company’s growth while driving innovation in credit risk management. You will shape the worldwide credit strategy, partner with commercial units, and leverage data‑driven insights to balance business expansion with financial protection.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a diverse global Credit Risk team across Mexico, the Czech Republic, and Singapore, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
• Own the global Credit Risk strategy and manage credit risk for the entire customer portfolio, including LEGO® Education partners.
• Collaborate with Markets & Channels and LEGO Education teams to align growth objectives with effective risk controls.
• Define and evolve the global credit strategy and risk‑appetite framework in response to market and macro‑economic changes.
• Drive next‑generation Credit Risk capabilities through advanced analytics, predictive modelling, and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Work with Treasury and Accounts Receivable to optimise working capital, cash flow, and credit performance.
• Provide expert evaluation of complex financial risk for major global customers when required.

Required profile

• Academic background in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of hands‑on Credit Risk Management experience within finance.
• Proven leadership of multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
• Successful experience operating in a global matrix organization.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with advanced analytical capabilities.
• Track record of leading process transformation, automation and optimisation with digital & technology partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
