Health Economics & Market Access Associate Director

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a senior leader to drive health economics and market access for its Surgery portfolio within MedTech. The role will shape market access strategies, develop economic tools, and support funding and procedural adoption across Central and Eastern Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market access strategies for new and existing surgical technologies.
• Support the creation of health economics tools and translate complex evidence into clear messages for the sales force.
• Build and maintain relationships with payers, healthcare professionals, and governmental bodies.
• Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and sales teams to align market access activities with business objectives.
• Provide health‑economic input for value‑based procurement, agreements, and local commercial initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in health economics, health policy, public health, economics, outcomes research or related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in medical devices, pharma, HTA, payer organizations or healthcare consultancy, preferably in MedTech.
• Strong understanding of HTA principles, healthcare system processes and payer decision‑making.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and work in cross‑functional matrix environments.

Required skills

• Project management and ability to prioritize multiple complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills to synthesize clinical and economic evidence for non‑technical audiences.
