IT Risk & Control Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Risk & Control Specialist to join our Business Services Finance Europe team in Prague. You will help design, implement and monitor the IT internal control framework across Europe, ensuring compliance with Ahold Delhaize standards and supporting the business in risk‑based decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team in designing the control framework based on risk assessments and new policies.
• Provide advice and support to the business in designing and implementing new controls.
• Monitor IT controls and discuss remediation with business owners.
• Support data‑analytics activities and the adoption of new technologies.
• Build and maintain a network of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Contribute to the European risk team to provide insight into control effectiveness.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics or Information Technologies.
• 3‑5 years of experience in external/internal auditing, internal controls, IT attestation, IT compliance or business/IT controlling.
• Fluent in English and Czech, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of IT General Controls.
• Risk‑and‑control mindset with professional skepticism.
• Experience with assurance reports/certifications such as SOC1, SOC2 or ISO 27001.
• Knowledge of SAP and cloud technologies is a plus.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Databricks or SAP is a plus.
