IT Support Specialist

About the role

8am is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join its distributed IT team in the Czech Republic. The role provides tier‑1/2 technical support, identity and endpoint management, and cross‑regional coordination for a globally distributed workforce. You will work closely with the core IT team in the United States to ensure consistent, high‑quality support across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional device inventory across EMEA, including provisioning, shipping, receiving, recovery, and end‑of‑life recycling.
• Own and resolve help‑desk tickets via Atera for employees and contractors, escalating complex issues when needed.
• Administer user identity and access lifecycle in Okta (provisioning, deprovisioning, group membership, access requests).
• Support and troubleshoot endpoint management tools (Intune/Iru), including deployment scripts, compliance monitoring, and application allow/block‑listing.
• Provide secure network access support for remote users through Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), handling connectivity and access problems.
• Deliver day‑to‑day support for Google Workspace across the organization.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding logistics for EMEA‑based staff, including equipment shipping and account provisioning.
• Maintain and improve internal knowledge‑base articles to promote ticket deflection and self‑service.
• Collaborate with the broader IT team on cross‑regional projects and provide coverage during U.S. Central Time business hours.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or help‑desk roles, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Czech language skills are a plus.
