Java Software Engineer

About the role

Join the Digital Experience (DX) business unit to build the next generation of intelligent, cloud‑native fleet management solutions. You will help simplify operations by developing scalable SaaS platforms that leverage AI, security and automation for Pure’s customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate mission‑critical processing services that ensure secure, compliant data flow between edge devices and the Pure1 cloud platform.
• Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient designs and drive them from concept to production.
• Experiment with new technologies, platform ecosystems and architectural patterns to improve performance, security and cost‑effectiveness for petabytes of real‑time data.
• Maintain a quality‑first mindset across the software development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead resolution of interoperability issues between new and existing system components to keep the platform highly available globally.

Required profile

• Proven experience architecting, implementing and testing components of large‑scale, complex distributed systems.
• Strong background in a modern backend language (Java preferred) and ability to write secure, high‑performance code.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles, networking and Linux environments.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Track record of thriving in collaborative, team‑oriented settings and a passion for continuous learning.
