Junior/Senior Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

Join PwC’s Risk Management team in Prague as a Credit Risk Analyst, working on a range of projects for financial institutions worldwide. Whether you are starting your career or bringing several years of experience, you will support clients in navigating credit risk regulations, data analysis, and innovative risk solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing proposals and designing risk‑management solutions for prospective clients.
• Work on engagements that involve data preparation, regulatory analysis (CRR, CRD, Basel IV), and credit‑risk assessments.
• Collaborate with senior staff to deliver project outcomes, mentor junior colleagues, and engage directly with clients.
• Support loan monitoring, ESG integration, capital‑management, and risk‑based pricing initiatives.
• Travel to client sites when required, gaining exposure to diverse markets and cultures.

Required profile

• Educational background in banking, mathematics, econometrics, statistics or a related field.
• For junior candidates: up to 3 years of experience in financial risk management.
• For senior candidates: at least 4 years of experience in credit risk, covering multiple topics.
• Strong analytical mindset with a willingness to learn statistical programming languages.

Required skills

• Familiarity with at least one statistical/computing language such as VBA, SQL, R, SAS, Python or Julia.
• Experience handling and preparing data for analysis.
