Legal Counsel – Rigids EMEA

About the role

The Legal Counsel will lead and manage sales and procurement‑related legal matters for Amcor’s Rigids EMEA business group. Acting as the primary legal partner to the sales and procurement functions, the role provides strategic advice, contract support, regulatory guidance and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and administer complex sales and procurement agreements, including long‑term supply and framework contracts.
• Develop and deliver training on commercial law topics for sales and procurement teams.
• Lead or support litigation and pre‑litigation strategies, negotiate settlements and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Provide general corporate and commercial legal support, including M&A due diligence, compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Identify legal risks, improve legal processes, templates and tools, and ensure regulatory adherence.

Required profile

• Law degree with qualification to practice in an EEA country (preferably UK, Germany, France or Italy).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in commercial law, with strong expertise in drafting and negotiating high‑value sales and procurement contracts.
• Proven experience in claim handling, litigation management and dispute resolution.
• Background in an international law firm and in‑house experience within a large manufacturing or B2B organization.
• Understanding of global supply‑chain legal challenges and emerging regulations such as ESG compliance, CSDDD, CBAM, EUDR, GDPR and trade sanctions.
