Manager, General Ledger Accounting – Europe

About the role

The Manager, General Ledger Accounting – Europe will act as the primary senior financial interface between the Prague Finance GL team and regional finance leadership. You will lead business reviews, provide financial insight, and ensure accurate accounting of complex transactions across operating companies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance interface for operating companies, preparing and leading monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc business reviews with commentary, variance analysis and risk identification.
• Own preparation, documentation and hand‑over of complex, non‑standard journal entries and accounting positions.
• Collaborate with back‑office accounting teams to ensure accurate reflection of business activities, resolve period‑close issues and provide timely financial insight.
• Support internal and external audits, ensure SOX compliance and guarantee accuracy of statutory financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L).
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Finance Reporting Leads and Senior Finance Reporting Specialists, driving continuous improvement, automation and standardisation of the record‑to‑report process.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• At least 5 years of people‑management experience leading finance reporting teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Expertise in Record‑to‑Report processes and front/back‑office interaction.
• Experience with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP R3, Oracle, HFM or similar.
