Mechanical Design Engineer – Hygienic Process Systems

About the role

SPX FLOW is seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to support hygienic process projects in the dairy, brewery, food and beverage sectors. The role blends office‑based design work with occasional site visits, customer support and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and detailed engineering drawings for hygienic process plants.
• Create plant layouts, piping isometrics, foundation, fabrication and equipment drawings.
• Prepare material take‑offs, line diagrams and technical specifications.
• Support process engineering, project execution and perform on‑site technical assistance when required.
• Evaluate equipment for cost‑effectiveness and performance, and assist with purchase requisitions.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and project management teams to ensure compliance with technical, contractual and quality standards.
• Participate in installation and commissioning activities as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in Mechanical, Chemical, Food Engineering or related discipline.
• 0–2 years experience in food, beverage, dairy or chemical process industries.
• Understanding of hygienic process plant layout and piping design.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time‑management abilities.
