Packaging Planner

About the role

DP World is seeking a Packaging Planner to manage packaging material requirements for new product launches and ongoing production. The role ensures timely availability of packaging supplies through close coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage packaging material requirements for new product launches and serial production.
• Ensure timely availability of packaging materials through supplier coordination and order management.
• Monitor material stock levels, availability, and delivery schedules to support project timelines.
• Create, maintain, and track purchase orders in SAP/ERP systems.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, purchasing, production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Resolve material shortages, supplier issues, claims, and other supply chain challenges.
• Track project progress, maintain accurate ERP data, and prepare regular reports.
• Support packaging trials, validation activities, inventory checks, and continuous improvement initiatives across packaging operations.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, packaging, production planning, or warehouse operations planning is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and material replenishment processes.
• Experience working in an operational or shop‑floor‑oriented environment.
• Good understanding of packaging processes and packaging material management.
• Experience with SAP/ERP systems, especially SAP MRP, is a strong advantage.
• Basic English and German language skills would be an advantage.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel for calculations, planning, and reporting.
