Payroll Consultant

About the role

D-ploy, an IT and engineering solutions company operating across the EMEA region, is looking for a Payroll Consultant in Prague. The role covers the end-to-end payroll implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through testing, cutover and stabilization.

Key responsibilities

• Discovery and requirements: take part in payroll workshops, document current processes, turn business needs into testable functional requirements, map end-to-end processes and run fit-gap analysis.
• Solution design and validation: represent Payroll in design discussions, support data mapping, migration, validation, reconciliation and integration across HR, time, benefits, Finance and banking.
• Testing and delivery: develop and review test scenarios and acceptance criteria, support SIT, UAT, end-to-end testing, parallel runs, defect triage and sign-off readiness.
• Governance, cutover and stabilization: coordinate risks, issues and deliverables across internal teams and external partners, and support cutover planning, go-live, hypercare, stabilization, documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Experience as a Payroll Functional Consultant, Payroll Business Analyst, Payroll SME or in a comparable transformation role.
• Strong practical understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, data, integrations, controls and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting payroll implementations, transformations, system migrations or vendor transitions.
• Ability to gather requirements, map processes, run fit-gap analysis, test and manage defects.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, project-coordination and communication skills, and ability to work with Payroll, HR/P&O, Finance, IT and external partners.
• Candidate must declare a criminal record extract not older than three months.
