Pricing and Discount Specialist (French/German)

About the role

The Finance – Pricing and Discount Specialist ensures accurate control of discounts, bonuses and pricing disputes, preventing financial surprises. You will work closely with commercial teams to manage accruals, reconciliations and contractual service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end process of promo invoice booking and monitor related deductions.
• Review contracts, ERP records, accruals and invoices to guarantee invoicing accuracy.
• Map invoices to corresponding accruals and validate outstanding accrual calculations.
• Perform daily early‑warning‑system checks on open orders linked to pricing, discounts or taxes.
• Execute month‑end closure, quarterly control and yearly final settlement activities.
• Initiate periodic and year‑end customer reconciliations.
• Continuously review process flows, identify gaps and propose efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French or German.
• At least 1 year of business/finance experience, preferably in financial analysis.
• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of accruals processes and discount management.
• Knowledge of finance and commercial deadlines (monthly closing, yearly price increases).
• Stakeholder‑management experience with commercial functions.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Relevant SAP application knowledge preferred.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to track information and meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem‑solving with clear root‑cause analysis.
