Principal Architect – Express Customs Transformation

About the role

As a Principal Architect for the EXPRESS Customs Transformation team, you will shape the technology backbone that enables DHL to deliver packages worldwide while keeping customer data secure. You will design end‑to‑end, mission‑critical solutions that meet zero‑downtime requirements and align with the company’s high architectural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and validate solution architecture for customs transformation projects, ensuring security, scalability and high availability.
• Collaborate with implementation teams and other IT specialists to translate architectural designs into delivered solutions.
• Coordinate architecture forums and drive enterprise‑architecture initiatives across multiple logistics domains.
• Maintain alignment of proposals and projects with DHL’s architectural standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience as a software architect designing complex end‑to‑end solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and ability to work across multiple domains in a multinational environment.
• Excellent English communication skills and proven ability to work independently under pressure.
