Principal Product Designer – Consumer Mobile & Commerce

About the role

Vilgain is building a new mobile app that will become the primary way customers interact with its brand, while continuously improving its e‑shop. As a Principal Product Designer you will own the main customer interface, focusing on the mobile experience and contributing to the e‑shop to ensure a seamless, consistent design across both platforms. You will work closely with the Head of Product CX and the CEO, delivering designs that reach real users quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Design the UI and UX for the Vilgain mobile app from wireframes and prototypes to polished visual design.
• Contribute to e‑shop design by optimizing user flows, improving the shopping experience, and maintaining visual consistency.
• Maintain design consistency across mobile and e‑shop platforms through a shared design system and component library.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and CEO on product direction and design decisions.
• Work with frontend and mobile developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Participate in user research and translate findings into concrete design improvements.

Required profile

• Proven UI/UX experience on commercial projects with a strong portfolio demonstrating craft and outcome thinking.
• Hands‑on experience designing e‑commerce platforms and understanding the purchasing journey.
• Experience designing mobile apps for iOS and/or Android, familiar with platform conventions.
• Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and component libraries.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Strong attention to detail in both UX logic and visual execution.
