Procurement Manager REFS

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Procurement Manager in Prague to lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement for Capital Projects, Real Estate and related facilities categories. The role works with REFS, Finance and Procurement stakeholders to implement procurement projects and strategies that deliver productivity targets, covering strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier intelligence and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement for Capital Projects, Real Estate and related facilities, aligned with business objectives and procurement strategy.
• Develop sourcing approaches and negotiation strategies for requirements above strategic thresholds when no category strategy exists.
• Support buyers' sourcing execution and act as escalation point for complex procurement and supplier issues.
• Partner with REFS, Finance, Procurement and business leaders on cost-effective solutions.
• Drive savings, productivity improvements and value creation across assigned spend categories.
• Monitor supplier markets, industry trends and competitive intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, responsible procurement standards, anti-bribery requirements and preferred supplier agreements.
• Manage procurement projects and category performance, communicating with regional and category teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MSc in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Professional procurement certification such as CIPS (or similar) strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of procurement and contract management experience.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing capital projects, construction, real estate, IFM or related services.
• Proven ability to work in global, matrixed organisations across multiple geographies and cultures.
• Excellent written and verbal English; German, Spanish, Portuguese or Russian is an advantage.

• Source-to-Contract (S2C) methodologies.
• Strong analytical, project management, stakeholder management and financial acumen.
