Product Manager – Mobile Forensics

About the role

Compelson, a pioneer in mobile forensics since 1991, seeks an experienced Product Manager to drive the evolution of its flagship product, MOBILedit. The role blends market insight, customer feedback, and technical feasibility to shape a tool used by law‑enforcement and intelligence agencies worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for new functionality and translate them into well‑defined product features.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, deciding what gets built next.
• Plan releases, define roadmap priorities, and maintain a clear product vision.
• Bridge business and engineering by turning real‑world needs into actionable development tasks.
• Collaborate with the Software Development Team Lead and CEO to keep development on track.
• Ensure every feature delivers measurable value to forensic professionals.
• Coordinate across business, development, and technical support teams.

Required profile

• Professional experience or strong practical knowledge of digital, especially mobile, forensics.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and ability to discuss technical topics.
• Strong prioritization skills, balancing short‑term needs with long‑term product direction.
• Excellent organizational abilities to maintain structured backlogs and release plans.
• Ownership mindset – proactively identifies problems and implements solutions.
