Product Manager – Pantry Food

About the role

Vilgain is looking for a Product Manager to ensure all customer‑facing communication about its pantry food products is accurate, legally compliant, and compelling. You will own the compliance process, support marketing and product teams, and help shape new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve all external content (website, e‑shop, packaging, advertising, social media, PR) for compliance with EU and Czech food law.
• Ensure every nutrition and health claim is authorised, correctly worded and meets regulatory conditions.
• Build and maintain an internal library of approved claims and compliance guidelines.
• Support new product development with ingredient suitability, claim strategy and functional combinations.
• Co‑create and fact‑check educational articles, ensuring they are backed by verified scientific sources.
• Develop internal tools such as nutritional rating systems and product development criteria.
• Train internal teams—including customer care and retail—on nutrition and compliant communication.

Required profile

• Experience in food or supplement regulatory affairs or marketing compliance, preferably in sports nutrition or FMCG.
• University degree in nutrition, food science, pharmacy or a related field.
• In‑depth knowledge of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, Commission Regulation (EU) No 432/2012 and Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011.
• Working knowledge of Czech food, advertising and consumer protection law.
• Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and propose compliant yet persuasive wording.
• Proactive, takes ownership and can make decisions without extensive guidance.
