Product Specialist - Low Voltage Switchgear

About the role

ABB is looking for a Product Specialist in Blucina, reporting to the Produktový manažer of the virtual factory. The specialist becomes the go-to expert for conventional low voltage switchgear solutions, working with customers, sales teams and product development to turn engineering challenges into practical solutions. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Act as local product owner for conventional ABB low voltage switchgear solutions and collaborate with R&D, global product management and value streams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support customers and internal teams with hands-on technical advice, presentations and training, and create technical documentation, application guides and training materials.
• Assess global and regional standards, market and customer requirements and their impact on the current offer portfolio.
• Work on real projects: evaluate technical specifications, prepare design concepts, troubleshoot and recommend value-driven technical solutions.
• Carry out market size and trend analyses and competitor benchmarking, including identifying offer gaps and evaluating ABB's market position.
• Manage the technical specifications of assigned products and support the Product Manager in developing business cases for offer development, maintenance and cost optimization.
• Stay up to date with environmental, safety and technical market trends.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in electrotechnology or mechanics; an economy degree is possible if compensated by willingness to understand the portfolio and the team's financial perspective.
• Ability to solve complex problems, optimize performance and choose the right features to win customers.
• Quick learner willing to grow into a technical expert role, with an analytical mindset.
• Strong communication skills, empathy for customer needs and confidence working with customers, sales teams and internal experts.
• Fluent Czech and English.
• Valid EU driving licence and willingness to travel internationally (max 10%).
